Default start/stop control

I wanted to know if I can remove or disable my start / stop button. Really annoying feature. I had this function on my Alfa Romeo Stelvio 2022 model. I purchased a unit that disabled it. Also my Porsche Cayenne had this feature. However
you could turn it off from the menu screen. And will never come back on again. Useless feature to have really.
any one have suggestion or aftermarket kill switch??
I really hate this feature.

On my Jag with the same Pivi system you can program the diamond button on the steering wheel to turn it off. You have to push it each time you start the car, but one simple button push and it's off!
I believe you can also disconnect a control wire in the trunk but not sure which one it is on the latest models (was easy on the Discovery)

Search for GAP Tool Activations.

It can permanently disable auto start stop

As stated above, amongst the gap tool, there are folks like myself that can also offer the service for you. There are also other features that are available in addition to start stop memory

The GAP deactivation method doesn't work on earlier P400 models. I am still looking for a work around on a 2021 P400.

I am confused - you hit that button vs the bottom on the center console? the fav button doesn't remember the setting the next time you start the vehicle.

+1 on the steering wheel favorite button - set mine to that function early on after purchasing

Unpopular solution (if you can't get the GAP tool to work): I unplugged the Battery Monitor System (BMS) Control Module and haven't had start/stop (or any battery problems or otherwise) in over three years. It's a small black connector attached to the negative battery terminal under the passenger seat if you chose to give it a try.
