Default Stop the Seat Belt Reminder!!!!!!

This is driving me crazy!!! I live on some land 500 acres and like to roll around my property with my seat belt off. Sometimes I have to jump out to open gates and move sprinkler lines/fix things. Not a big deal right? Well the seat belt reminder will not stop beeping at me and it is driving me crazy. Does anyone have a fix for this? I know on other cars I have owned there have been ways to turn this off by doing a few random steps, (Like buckle and unbuckle the seat 4 times then start the car). My car is a 2023 110

sounds like your case warrants buying a fake seat belt clip : 2PACKS Seat Belt Clip, Car Seat Belt Silencer Metal Tongue, General seat Belt Metal Buckle, Universal for Most Vehicle-Black https://a.co/d/f55iSAi

I haven't used one, but the idea seems like it should work.

If I remember correctly, in one of powerfulukltd youtube video's he shows how to get the buzzer not to go on. Sorry I can't include the link, as it was in a video featuring something else, but perhaps someone else knows the link.

Just chiming in (pun very much intended) that this annoys the hell out of me in my 23 V8. For the love of god, let us turn it off.

Disabling Seatbelt Warning
  • Get in driver seat.
  • Close door.
  • Turn on ignition, but don't start (no foot on brake pedal).
  • Leave in Park.
  • Hold down the red release button on the seat belt clip.
  • Slowly slide the seat belt buckle in and out of the clip 10 times till you hear a chime. (Pause 1-2 seconds between each repetition)
  • Turn the Defender off and lock the doors and it should be silent next time you drive.
The above procedure works for both drivers seat and front passenger seat.

Just curious, but will this procedure work in reverse? In case one wanted to restore the reminder chime.

I haven’t found a need to re-enable the warning so I honestly don’t know. Sorry.
