Default Stop the Slam

I was going to go up to Death Valley today but the winds are predicted to hit 50-60 mph, so I decided to make up a little rear door stop.
This will allow me to keep the rear door from slaming shut no matter what angle I am parked on the hillside, it'll also prevent a wind gust from slamming it shut ..
The support just snaps in and out..

Just a small 6.45" of PVC pipe and a wire loop..

This is a great idea. You or Defender3D or someone should make these and sell them!

id love a tailgate mod that makes it open an extra 90 degrees while we are at it.

That's a great idea and so cheap/easy to make.

l am going to make one for mine. The door does stay open but if the vehicle is facing downhill it can close without warning and hit you in the back.

When you cut your groove into the PVC pipe make it just large enough to allow it to snap over the rod with a little resistance so that it remains in place until you give the wire loop a tug to remove it.
