Default Street tire recommendation please!

I will be buying a set of 22" Seamak's (will run 285/45/22) soon and wondered if there is a tire that looks beefy but is quiet like a street tire? I see a lot of Nitto Recon Grapplers and
am curious to know if they are a loud street tire. Any recommendations would be great! Many thanks!

The Nittos will be loud. Look at the BFG Goodrich tires in that size.

What about the Michelin Defender LTX M/S2? It's listed as a "highway all season" and has a 75k mile treadwear. I think they are one of the most quiet tires available, too.

The Nitto Recon Grapplers are quieter than the Nitto Ridge Grapplers that I have (and I don't find them to be loud). Of course, a pure street tire that doesn't look aggressive will be quieter.

Default Pirelli

My 2023 110 came with Pirelli Scorpions. Great tire - quiet

Sure, the Michelins are great tires as well, but they are more for highway use than off road. BF Goodrich has a good selection of tires that are more aggressive than the Michelins.

I should say I like the look of the beefy-ier off road look. Will 285-45-22 look weird with an all season?

I replaced the Michelin Primacy all seasons on my 2021 P400 (with stock 22 inch wheels) with the BFG Trail Terrain’s (275’s) 30,000 miles ago. They are quiet, still have plenty of tread left and look good - I think they are a great compromise unless you want to do serious off-roading. Incidentally, they are the less aggressive all terrain option for the Octa as well.

Scorpion A/S came with my 2024 Macan and it was surprisingly good. Quite and has good grip unlike their summer P Zero summer tires.

I have the BFG Trail All Terrain on my 20” OCTA wheels (by mistake) and like them a lot so far. Only one snowfall (6”) and they were great. Less noise than the Goodyear Duratracs on my other Defender.
