Sunglass holder removed?

There are numerous places, depending on personal preferences. I place mine in the little cubby just to the left of the Pivi touch screen, or on the little cubby shelf just to the left of the steering wheel. Additionally, I have the item below, which besides having a place for sunglasses, also solves the problem of the deep well in the console, and provides a concealed space under it.

My 110 X MY23 doesn't have it, just some weird dark shiny thing in its place. I keep the sunglass left of the steering wheel, fits perfectly.

This is such a weird de-contenting by JLR on the Defender. Literally no "chips" involved and it's really a little plastic mechanism. I love mine (I wear aviators and they go in there perfectly) - I'd try to buy the part from them and install it ! Not sure if you need the whole overhead console or just the insert.

I'm confused - I have a build I did right at the beginning of June (a 23MY AFAIK), which was a 110 X-Dynamic SE then loaded up with air, towing, off-road, all sorts of packs ... but under the base specs for the trim line, it still says "Overhead storage for Sunglasses". For ***** and grins, I did another one today 6/10, and it still shows that.
Are we saying that people are receiving them without the sunglasses holder, despite it being on the build/price tool?
Of course - my build hasn't been accepted yet, dealer has it in their queue, but... what an odd thing to run out of?
