My 2020 Defender has a sunglass holder and it is of a more rigid design than the later model had - the rear cover is actually part of the frame - but i think Land Rover had a problem with the tooling ? and so reverted to the early type console but they had issues with flexing and so stopped fitting them. We had a 2023 model in today with a sunglass holder and it looks like it was the more rigid design again - same as my 2020

Bought our 2023 130 SE off the lot. It took me a while to figure out that the “blank” in the overhead was the deleted sunglasses holder. Figured that out thanks to this forum. I didn’t really miss something I never had. Until now……(stole this from a joke site…)

My 23.5MY P400X did not come with the sunglasses holder and I dont miss it to be honest - I had it in my 2021 P400SE but its not something I used that often anyway.

My 23 V8 came with the surround sound and USB outlets, but not the sunglass holder. I ordered the PowerfulUK kit, but had issues with it not closing. They sent the brackets, but they didn't help the situation in my vehicle. The smart thing to do would have been to just live without it, since it's really not that big of a deal. But, since I am pretty stubborn, I ended up buying an overhead console from an Evoque, in the same configuration as mine, off of Ebay and swapped it out with the one that came in my Defender. May not have been the most economical solution, but I do like having the sunglass holder and do use it almost every day.

Do what you want with your money. I never criticize someone for doing/buying something that makes them happy. Well, I guess as long as they are not knee deep in debt.

I so agree.

Just like last January right after I turned 66 - spent a day in the ER for cardiac issues. Had a wonderful young lady ER doc (ok, mid-40’s) who adjusted my meds. We had a gr8 conversation about a well-earned retirement, etc, and she said “your BP is high but not crazy high, enjoy life’. Yep, expensive scotch and cigars with a few buddies are on tonight’s dessert menu…..

I bought a new one from LR for $500+... Use it everyday, it's great, money well spent

LOL, I installed the sunglass holder today. Managing the spring was the hardest part, otherwise a 10-15 minute job.
Ordered it from Amazon for around $55. Ordered it from Amazon for around $55.

I purchased one from somewhere to as my MY23 didn't come with one. After installing it, wouldn't work quite right, so I turned it in as a warranty claim, and they replaced it lol
