Sunroof won't open
Hey Y'all,
Happy owner of a mostly trouble free 2022 110. On a couple occasions, if I park outside in the hot GA sun for a few hours...the sunroof won't slide back. If I press the open switch, it will vent/crack/tilt open, but it won't slide back. Once I drive around or get back home and park in my garage, the sunroof will slide back and works perfect. It seems like an overheating issue in the sun.
Any thoughts? Is this a "take it to the dealer for warranty" repair thing? Thanks in advance for any help...

I can’t speak to warranty or not. However, I have recently taken to using the sunroof more regularly. The switch is a two stage operation which was causing me fits at first. One touch appears to just pop the rear for minor ventilation. A press and hold opens it fully or to the desired stop position. It’s feel thing that’s taking me some time to adjust to - see pages 110 onward in the owners handbook for better descriptions.
Not saying there may not still be a problem that needs attention. Just that the U.I. Took me a bit of getting used and may be related.

You can reset the sunroof by manually shutting the sunshade by holding down the sunshade button until it closes. once closed, keep holding it down until it automatically moves back and that will reset the sunroof and you should be good. This happens to me every few months or so.
Yes this happens to me during a hot day as well in the sun (Long Island, NY), I see it as heat expanding certain parts and after a quick 1min drive I can fully open it. In my opinion a tight seal is much better than a leaky roof!
I have had this "won't open when blazing hot" on my 2020 when it's parked outside in my driveway ... same thing, at least 3-4 times in past couple years. Something about the plastic up there or metal expanding I think prevent it from opening. Once the car cools down and I'm driving it always starts working.
