Switching out LED Headlights????
Haven't received our P300 S yet as it'll ship down to us later in the week, and because we didn't test drive one at night, worried about the Entry level LED headlights...so wondering if it's possible to switch to the midgrade LEDs later????
Probably not a "plug and play" switch....but wondering if it's even an option later..

I’m getting my P300 S in 2 weeks and my dealer told me I can order it from the parts department. Should only be $600. The system is a plug and play and only requires to remove the front grill and headlight housing. I ordered mine in Nov 2020 and on the site I couldn’t option the DRL, black liner, HUD, last week I was on the site and all those are option for the MY21 Defender S. I was pretty upset as I let my SA know in advance. Powerfulukltd has a video on his YouTube channel where he removed the grill and headlight. You can see the simplicity of the process and housing which is why I believe it’s only a $600 upgrade. Regardless from a brand like LR these should be standard.

I wouldn’t mind the headlights being a bit brighter — for those doing the switch, curious if you notice a difference. Please post your impressions when you do it. I saw in another thread that the premium LEDs have more lighting units beyond the DRL element.

Did they give you a part number for DRL? I called my dealer in Michigan and they had no idea what I was talking about.
No my Sales Advisor said wait till it gets to the port, that’s where they install the options ie explorer pack etc, and they’ll call to get it done there. If they can’t do it there the parts department will call to order them in. I don’t have a concrete part number but the lights are plug and play.
So wonder if the different lights will throw any codes? Or if it is truly a plug an play and new lights are compatible????? If it that simple, and a novice could do it, $600 is not a lot
to upgrade...heck, the Jeeps cost more than that!
