Default Third row in a 110

Hi. I did a search but did not find anything. Just curious about the third row in a 110 - is it realistically usable for anyone? I’’m hoping it will be ok for my my kids. I’m guessing ok for my 8yr old but my 16 year old is essentially adult size…

I sat back there the first day I got my 110 7 seater, as a test. Haven't been back since as I installed a dog guard etc etc.

Anyway I'm 6'4" 220lb and my long legs and large *** did fit, albeit tightly. The 2nd row on the 7 seaters slides forward and backwards, which creates legroom for the 3rd row when you scoot up the 2nd row. But it's at the expense of the 2nd row passengers. What I recall is my feet didn't have enough room to fit. Also in mine there's AC controls and vents, a cupholder and they're heated!

There's a photo album of 19 photos showing the 3rd row in many of them in this article -- may be good reference for you --https://www.cars.com/articles/land-rover-defender-is-the-three-row-version-any-good-432371/

Very useful when we've needed it.

I'm 6' and can sit back there. The second row slides forward so you can increase the 3rd row leg room as needed. Second row still has enough.

Kids, 10 and 8 fit with ease. The 8 year old loves sitting back there.

Just be sure to activate the correct mode in TR2.

We have it, but haven't used it yet. My 10 and 13 yo daughters sat back there for a bit to check it out when we got it and they said it wasn't any worse than the last car (Model X) but they are happy that my older two (21/19) aren't with us as much and why I decided to go this route. The 2nd row needs to slide forward in order for it to have anywhere to put your feet. If the 2nd row is all the way back there is no way to put your feet down. Then there is little storage room in the back after that, so it's either people or gear at that point.

Compared to our Model X, and the Expedition EL we owned before it's a little less cargo room than the X but about the same feet space. The X benefited from a lower floor. The EL would be more compared to the 130 I bet, as it was a beast length wise. It also inhaled gasoline.

Yeah what those guys said. It's small, but handy on an occasion when we want to bring extra people along. For the most part I don't think most adults would want to spend any time there, but my tweenage daughter did sit all the way back there for an 8 hour OBX run once. I think she's insane because the 2nd row wasn't full, she just wanted to sit all by herself.

I've ordered with 3rd row, it similar space as my current xc90, but it does require family pack added and air suspension in some cases.
You loose storage space under tray and it adds ionizer and full blown climate control at the rear (with blower and extra lines going).

Yes. When I built mine (MY22) adding the third row meant you had to add the family pack with A/C (not needed back there for me and my needs) and air suspension. Bumped it up to an SE, P400 and all the headaches with the bigger alloys. I think that has now changed or perhaps it was just an inbuilt upsell in the build site. No idea.

A third row was a must have for my better half so that's what we built. I do miss having the storage where the third row seats stow. A third row without all the A/C and other malarkey would be best.

110 3rd row is for kids, adults only in a pinch (imo). 130 3rd row is usable by adults, though I wouldn't put 3 of them back there. After trying both, I bought the 130, putting people much over 5' in the 3rd row of a 110 for any length of time isn't going to be nice for them.

Same with @GavinC we have two kids (slightly younger and smaller) but they love it back there. It's not a land yacht of space like you'd have in a Sequoia or Denali, but we've not-so-easily stuffed 6 people + dog + stuff in the car (the rear space is a joke in both the 130 and 110 with the rear row) so just invest in a solid LARGE roof box to transport your belongings. We bought a Thule XT LT (waiting for the expedition rack upgrade kit from Simon to get it to work, if you want, @GavinC also posted a DIY modification, which is probably smarter but my wife didn't approve of my solution).
