I got a call from my dealer on Tuesday and was advised they were now able to order the replacement tail lights. No timeline from the dealership was given, although given the recent post by chipstar5000 I’m hopeful it will be soon!

I got a call this afternoon from my dealer that the parts were in and installed per the recall. My Defender X is now ready for delivery and will be delivered on next Monday.

This wait has been just shy of 3 months from when the dealership received my Defender in the second week of June!

Looks like the long wait will be coming to an end for others who have been caught up in this debacle.

Does anyone have a Defender X in GA port waiting for tail light replacement and heard anything besides the 10/15 delivery date bulletin? I’m seeing posts about Dealer repairs recently but still no word on Port repairs.

My Salesperson just gave me an update on JLR tail light replacement priorities:

Top Priority: Defenders on the road, dealerships receiving new tail light assemblies now, some replaced already.
Next: Defenders on dealers lots with sales contract, some have been replaced.
Next: Defenders at US Port with sales contract, (mine is but no new delivery date info is available, still 10/15).
Next: Defenders at US Port without retail contract.
Next: Factory orders complete but not sold or shipped yet.
Lowest Priority: Factory orders not fully assembled yet.

Mine's in port as well with the 10/15 deliver. Hoping for sooner rather then later. Dealership doesnt have any estimate other then that. Please let us know if and when you get your recall done!

Anyone hear any news recently? My X still in port, still showing 10/15 delivery date to Dealer. My Dealer did say she received tail light assemblies last week to retrofit one of her client's cars she sold last year. So much for repairing the cars in port first!

No update as of last Thursday from my Dealer. Here's hoping they stick to the 10/15 date at least!

As a quick heads up my dealer replaced my 2022 X-Dynamic SE (red lights) with the updated part and it still exhibited the same issue when exposed to a bright flash light.
They then replaced it with the X lights (gray) that are "Fixed" under the recall. they still went out when exposed to a bright flash light.

At this point LR has stated that the flash light is too bright and the fixed lights are within spec. the dealer pulled a RR directly behind my car and flashed the high beams and the lights did not go out.
If this is the case in real life or not i have no clue, but is what it is.
