I like the Defender so much I doubled down and traded my perfect P300 in for a P525 V8 in the same Santorini Black on Vintage Tan leather combo. The engine in the P300 was perfectly adequate and had great torque and gearing but I’ve always wanted the V8 and liked the engine in my L405 Range Rover.
With that said my old Defender P300 is for sale at a dealership in Las Vegas for $49k which is a steal for a custom order spec with options and a configuration that is no longer available on new builds.
Highlights:
33k miles
Scheduled Services done at Land Rover
Oil changes done every 5k miles
Big options list with a $72k build
(Air suspension, Vintage Tan extended leather, bright exterior pack, solid roof, 18” steel wheels, refrigerator, etc.)
Xpel PPF on front end, lower body panels, door pillars
33” BF Goodrich Ko2’s
I’ve already traded it in but would love to see it go to a good home as I’ve spared no expense on maintenance on it.
Nice! I also love the SC V8 in my 2017 RR but I'd have swapped the 22's onto your trade and kept the 18/33" combo. It doesn't take much to make the right 18 fit the V8 brakes.
Is this true? I have a V8 90 and I would kill to fit 18s on it safely. How do you do this?

There are other sources for sure but lucky8 has a kit to make 18" wheels fit and they also have more "fitt-able" wheels than factory. If you search for 18 inch wheels on here, I bet you'll find the threads going into detail.

I learned over the weekend that Lucky8’s brake caliper kit doesn’t work with the largest of the three possible rotors on some P400’s, specifically the 365mm. if you’re unsure what you’ve got, send them your VIN and they’ll confirm.
That is the impression I was under that NO kit works with the V8 for 18s. The calipers are HUGE and you would have to replace all four and no one can tell me thats totally safe…..
Congrats man! I've never driven the P300 but owning a P525, the engine is intoxicating. I love the sound of SC whine and it's faster than a vehicle that size really should be.

I don't think that's true at all. For example on my lr3 the change was smaller rotors and different carriers but the same calipers. Braking it easily 99% as good, maybe less if tested scientifically but in how it feels, it's damn equal. Good pads and driving like not an idiot helps too.
I think the work to allow 18" on the V8 is not really all that much when choosing a more friendly 18" wheel than factory.

But with what specific wheel? The wheel shape matters just as much as anything you do at the caliper/rotor. Some have a MUCH wider barrel as compared to the factory wheels.

I really prefer the smaller rotor, same caliper, route for smaller wheels. I did it to allow factory 17" to directly fit on my LR3. Same calipers, no grinding, rotor size from the NAS V6/euro tdi, different carrier, same calipers. Works great and my lr3 is 8000 lbs on 32" E load tires. I use the 17 for winter and 18 for the rest.
