Default UHaul Tow hitch?

Hey guys! New here. Just realized my slightly used defender does not have a hitch! This is a must for me. Browsing I see that uhaul offers a hitch.

Was curious if anyone had any experience with this particular hitch!

I am looking at OE hitch as of now, but see there are several extra items such as tow computer, programming etc.

Thanks in advance!

Here's a pic of my Defender!

Prepare to spend $4000 on the right hitch and towing computer. Been there done that. Defender owner x5. None of these should ever be ordered without a hitch.

Nuckle is correct, it requires multiple components and it’s expensive with the last quote I got from the dealership closer to $5K. I was willing to do it but they told me one of the components was on back order so I canceled it instead. I took it as a sign I shouldn’t spend it.

I see I can order everything myself. I will more than likely go that route. I also have a GAP tool otw and hopefully can activate tow computer with it.

I know labor for the install can be pricey, but $4k? Lucky8 sells "towing receiver + complete wiring combo" for $1548, and it's all genuine LR parts. What am I missing here? Honest question because I've thrown around the thought of installing one.

Dear lord no, especially on not letting UHaul install a hitch on a Defender L663. I'd just bite the bullet for the factory one.

I had the dealer install a towbar, they covered half the cost. They added a tow bar control module. Here are the CCF changes they made:
Was:
EUCD-076 Towbar
Without Trailer Tow Attachment

Is:
EUCD-076 Towbar
With Trailer Tow Attachment

Was:
MultiCAN-504 TrailerLightMod
Not Fitted

Is:
MultiCAN-504 TrailerLightMod
Fitted

Was:
MultiCAN-678 HitchAssistTowbar
No Tow bar fitted

Is:
MultiCAN-678 HitchAssistTowbar
5 Seat NAS Towbar
