Default Unknown audible chime

Another question about my new Defender. I keep getting a low pitched audible chime, that can occur several times a minute although not at a regular interval. The chime is vey brief (1 second or so). I have no idea whatsoever what is triggering this. Any thought as to what this can be? Sorry I can't be more specific.

Are you in the UK? If so -- and you have the fun motorized towing hitch that swings out with a button press, apparently they can do this.

Otherwise -- no idea !

Nope, Chicago area. I'm sure if I take it to the dealer and asked a technician to go out for a drive to hear it, the problem will disappear.

I can't remember the official feature name, but mine has a similar beep when approaching or crossing certain intersections with a red light camera. Could that be it?

Thanks, but that’s not it. It must be one of the driver assistance nannies because I was able to finally silence it by changing the driver assistance level to low. I’m still not sure what it was signifying. Was worse at low speeds.

I found mine was the speed limit change indicator. Ended up setting the driver assistance to custom and setting the speed nanny to visual indicator.

That may very well have been it! I'll go in and change the settings around that. Thank you.

It was, indeed, the speed limit audible alert. That is one annoying setting. Turned off. Problem solved.

Thanks all (especially wadew) for your help in troubleshooting.
