Default Unknown Sensor

When removing the "Tail Lamp Outer Finisher" (the trim around the brakes) to put in the checker plate version (yeah, it's not the greatest - but I kinda like it) - I encountered this sensor. I can't find anything about it in any forum, in TOPIx, anywhere. Anyone have a clue what it is? The sensor (two silver parts) appear to be in a bracket that's bonded to the trim. I'm not sure I can remove it without some sort of redneck engineering. I eventually put it back until I figure what it was (how expendable it was) or how much I wanted to move it to the checker plate.

The number over the QR Code is N8B2-18C901-BB and the number under the QR code is 04130945591. On the right of the QR Code is XCS90 Germany 20210413 (thinking when/where from). Scanning the QR code gives me an error description: "This is a datamatrix code, this is not a QR code or product barcode".

BTW - Simon/PowerfulUK think it is some sort of aerial tied to the wireless charger. I usually keep my cell phone in a "wallet type thing" so I never use it. Perhaps it is the Cell Booster that turns on when the wireless charger is used. If so (and if it doesn't throw a fault code), I'm tempted to disconnect it.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. I may just disconnect it this weekend and see how much it cries. Thanks.

It’s worth reviewing the service manual as I recall a picture that shows where all the smart key sensors are located around the vehicle. This could be what it’s for.

Thanks, @TheMoke . From what I saw, those are lower near the bumper trim. If I pull both off and it's a matching pair, I think you may be onto it. Right now, I'm thinking not. If it is, I'd rather not lose a smart key sensor if it is.

99% certain these people make it and it's a radio antenna.

That whole plate assembly is stuck on with double sided tape and is easily removed.
Apply new tape, stick it on your new checkered corner cap, snap onto vehicle. Done.

Yep. I may have posted the details on another thread. It's actually the cell booster for your cell phone charger. You should have a charger in front of your storage compartment between the front seats. It has a little known cell booster in it and "that thar" is the antennae.
