Default Unlugged Module in Door Panel

2020 110 P400 SE - NAS. While doing the acoustic treatment, and taking the door cards apart I noticed the rear passenger door had a module unplugged when we opened door card. The defender had no previous issues before this, and for that reason I'm not sure if it's supposed to be unplugged… but… maybe it should be plugged back in? Or maybe leave it?

Does anyone know what this could be for? Possible manufacturing mistake?

To my knowledge, this is the first time this panel has been opened up since it was purchased.

Please share any info you have!

lf everything is working then don't worry about it.

Could be a feature not fitted to your model, or something where there was a shortage of parts.

For instance my 2022 doesn't have the locking fuel filler cap because apparently there was a shortage of microchips at the time.

Does the other door have the same connections? And are they plugged in? Google the LRJ part number or scan the code and find out what it is.

I wonder if it is related to the door opening sensor that alerts you to approaching vehicles. This was a feature on all four doors, but started disappearing with supply chain issues.

I have taken apart all sorts of stuff in my car and since I have a base model, there are LOTS of connectors to nowhere. Wire is relatively cheap and it is way easier to manufacture the car with the same wiring harness and just plug in stuff based in trim level.
