@Dan Hairy Ian Dan Hairy etc (nice name) - how do you have steelies on a V8 ? (was just browsing your lovely instagram)
Are you sure it's a V8? Also curious about the wheels myself, if it is, as I am actively looking for a set of wheels to use on a V8 to go off road with proper tires.
Just to clear a couple of things up, Dan Hairy is an anagram of my name and the Defender_v8 in my instagram account is as GavinC suggested related to my other Land Rover a 4.0L V8 Automatic, it's actually a 50th Anniversary Defender which came over from Japan in 2014. My 'new' Defender is the 3.0L straight 6 diesel.
Updated my Gap IIDTool this week, to the latest firmware -- and it added a number of new CCF lines. And now, I can open and close all the windows and sunroof with the key fob. Which is actually very handy.
MultiCAN 723 SMRF Global Close - changed to Enabled
MulitCAN 719 CDL Global Close - changed to Enabled
MultiCAN 719 CDL Global Open - changed to Enabled
EUCD 184 Global Open/Close - changed to Global Open/Close Doors + Sunroof
Note: A few months ago, I just changed EUCD184, which enabled the settings on the Pivi screen, and allowed global open with the key fob, but only allowed global close w/ the button on the door. Which wasn't awesome.
Anyway, this is actually a really useful feature for me, with hot car, dogs, etc. Thought it might be for others. Found this on Defender2.net.
Love it! Thank you for sharing, this is super helpful for me here in FL whenever the car is outside (but secured in my backyard) to get the initial wave of oven/heat out.
Now if only we could find a way to control remote start from the key fob vs having to whip out the phone everytime, I'd have solved every minor gripe I've had about my defender!
Frankly, I agree with others that walk away locking and approach unlocking are awesome features, but global close is more used than global open.
Oddly enough, if I have global open enabled it ignores whether or not I include the sunroof - it opens anyway. I never open my sunroof, although the blind typically is open.
Being able to close the windows and sunroof is bound to save me one day when it rains.
After some trial and error and comparing my 110 without Advanced Tow Assist to my wife’s 130 with it I have been able to get this to work. Tested it out again this morning. At this point I am thinking it is a matter of letting it sit in the system for a while and after several sleeps and starts along with a few PIVI reboots it finally took. Here is a list of the changes and then I would suggest being patient as it might not activate immediately.
MultiCAN-579 Tow Assist
Set to Tow Assist 2
MultiCAN-635 Towing
Set to Not Support if not already set to this setting.
MultiCAN-696 ATCM TA2 Switch
Set to Tow Assist 2 feature selection switch not fitted, again if not already set to this.
MultiCAN-793 TA2 Input Control
Set to HVAC rotary.
MultiCAN-795 TA2 Select in FCPB
Set to Rotary used for selection within touch screen.
Interesting. Mine already had simple tow enabled, I had a tow receiver installed, but nothing else outside 4x4 stuff, so I need to
get a trailer load to test beyond simply adding a tow definition.
Just because I saw them during parameter setting, I wonder what TA3 & TA4 do for you?

My GAP IiD tool just came today. CAn't wait to start messing around with it. I updated the firmware right away and wanted to know what version is current to make sure it truly downloaded the latest?
