During the pandemic, LR installed blank plates in the rear of the center console for many Defenders. Since then there have been retrofits to get USB ports again.

Any one with the blank plates lying around? I am looking for 2x, or the part number to order them.

Yes. There are plenty of retrofits. Powerful UK sells a retrofit kit with OEM parts. https://www.powerfuluk.com/products/...b&_ss=e&_v=1.0

IIRC, JLR issued a recall and would add the USB ports when they were readily available.

Does this mean if there are blanks in the rear console, the recall or TSB would convert those? Might you have the TSB or Recall link?

Very cool, thx. Hope they let me choose what to put in those two blanks as there are 2 USB C's already. Some USB A and Cig Adapter would be good.

 

The TSB is specifically for the USB-C ports, as those were omitted from builds for a period of time. If you already have the USB-C outlets in the console, then you either already had this TSB performed, or they were fitted at the factory. If you do the 12v cigarette lighter, you will also need the spring cover.

I have 2 x USB-C ports and two outer blanks. Wondering if there are harnesses already inside the blanks, ready for more plugs.
So TSB most likely won't address the other 2 blanks I'm guessing

 

It is plug and play. The wiring is already there. On my 2021 110, which wasn't affected by any shortages, there are two central USB-C ports, the outer two are 12v cigarette lighter sockets, and there is a USB-A port on the back of each front seat.
