Hello!

I am new here, from the Montreal area in Canada. I just received the order confirmation for a Defender Carpathian that I gave a deposit on earlier this week, it looks like it will be a 2023. I took some options like the grey wheels, the spare tire cover and the wheel arch protection. No manufacturing date and obviously no delivery available, I wish to have it for next fall.

Happy New year!

Any chance you can DM the dealers info? My dealer in BC claims to have no production slots to even take an order until Jan-Mar 2022

I made the deposit on Tuesday and he said he didn't know when he would be able to make the order.

Access to the order was available the next day, December 29. I even have the order number.

The retailer is Jaguar & Land Rover Brossard. The guy is Charles Painchaud

Good luck!

After 9 months of waiting - and in the midst of this period finding out my order was "un-slotted" - I am happy to report I have taken delivery of my '22 v8. My dealer, one of the highest volume dealers in the US, stated it was the only "un-slotted" order to be taken back up and delivered - believe it was only the second v8 they were able to procure. In any case, a bit of luck I am sure - it does have the HUD and the 3D cameras etc which I was worried about being an unexpected change. So all good - looks amazing and overall is better than I would have expected!

I am coming from a '14 RRS - dynamic v8 supercharged and am quite surprised at the difference in nature between the two - Defender feels much, much more truck like/ heavy while the RRS is, well, just sportier feeling and driving. I had assumed they would be much more similar - not a knock - just an observation.

Awesome. I think all V8s were unslotted at one point or another. Is yours a 90 or 110?

Photos please!!! i think the photos in HEIC format wont work. They have to be jpgs or png. As a hack you could try taking a screenshot of the photo and posting that.

Hey so I think you might have an order number from your dealer but you don't have a production slot yet - the latest prediction in Canada is V8 90 series released in mid Feb and possibly 110 also at the same time, although unconfirmed. I have had a deposit on a Carpathian Edition down since March 2020 and so hoping to convert it to an order in the next 2-3 months. They told me the earliest delivery would be November 2022 if they can get the factory to accept the order in February 2022. Nuts!
