Default VIN Decoding

Hello all. I’ve decided I want to make a VIN decoder for the L663, as I haven’t been able to find any others. Obviously, I can’t figure out what means what without an extensive number of VINs, so if any of you would be so kind to send through your VIN (without the last 3 digits for privacy reasons) via DMs along with car details as follows, if you are comfortable.
  • Body style
  • Year (on registration)
  • Model Year (not always the same as year on rego; can be .5)
  • Original color
  • Engine
  • Original wheel size (these can correspond to brake size)
  • Original purchase region
  • Trim level
  • Air suspension or not
I’m not sure of what details are included in the VIN yet, so a broad range of information is appreciated. If you are not sure of one of the details, just don’t give it. We don’t want wrong information confusing me.
Finally, I would like to give full disclosure that this information will be likely given to AI to find patterns between VINs. If you are not comfortable with this, let me know. Aside that I will be the only person to see the info.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I don't think you'll get much more info than the standard decoder of VIN.

Green section is about the only variable in play.

Thanks for the graphic. Was aware they were somewhat constant between cars but that nails it down. I’d still like to give it a go regardless.
Edit: this graphic does not appear to apply to the Defender

Have you tried using the National Highway Traffice Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) VIN decoder?

Looks like we already have a VIN decoder on the forum.

I wouldn't trust that decoder. It won't decode unless you give it a "correct" VIN - i.e. all your information. Why should it need the last 6 digits? That's just identification - no data in there. You have no idea where your data are going when you press "decode"

My VIN varies a bit: SALEP7RU1N2..... A 2022 LHD P400 110
