Mine started working a few days ago. It didn't come as a regular software update so I wouldn't look there - I received an "app update" notification (little green dot that appears on the "user profile" icon thing. Told me it would work after a restart and it did. Not sure if there is any way to force the apps to update unfortunately.

 

Mine is back working too. I'll not lie, that was a rough few months. Although simple to use, the backup analog weather app was a lot less detailed.
