Somehow, my sales guy and I both missed the fact that the one I picked don’t have the air suspension, which was a must have for me. I didn’t realize it until I was home that night. I was going back in on Saturday to pick up a D90 for my mother and I joked with the sales manager about how blind I was by missing the air suspension. He said go pick another one and I will back this sale out. While I was back on the lot looking again, my sales guy came up and told me that someone had just canceled their order for a V8 that had just come in that morning. Which is how I ended up with the V8. I figured that the V8 would be good to have, with the extra torque.
I do a lot of dirt roads which is why I got the RAI, I don’t think it even increases wading depth, so definitely not for that! 😀
Yeah the OEM RAI is not a snorkel so useless to me. Just puzzled why anyone would fit an RAI to the V8 Defender which of course has air intakes on right and left sides of the vehicle. Seems pointless.

Other than that the setup looks great.

Well color me embarrassed. I was totally unaware of that. I guess the question is, do I just take it off or add another one?? 🤦‍♂️

I am surprised that the dealership didn’t tell me that. They looked up the VIN, so they knew it was going on a V8. They did the installation too. They wouldn’t let me buy roof rails for it, since it was a V8. I mean, I know I should be the one to know that info, but it would have been nice of them to say something.

My local dealership knew next to nothing about the Defender so not surprised there. Less is more when it comes to hearing their spiel. Loads of nonsense from them.

There is no RAI available for the right side. It's as useful as a glass hammer on the V8. I'd ask them why they fitted it without sharing that nugget of information with you. Caveat emptor for sure.

EvoCorse DakarZero's w/ Nitto Ridge Grapplers (285/60R-18s). These are pretty dirty pics and not very "stylish". I'll try to take some more that make them look a bit better.

Not my photos, but what they should look like when washed off a bit....

Oh no! my LR Achilles heel has been the tires. I'm hoping to change that with my Defender 110. What tires do you recommend for someone that drives like Mr. McGoo in a parking lot? I hit curbs (sometimes) and potholes (almost daily). Never mind the rock crawling (never), the streets out by me are terrible enough. The sidewall with Kevlar was interesting in case I decide to park on a curb. (space is tight and its always the Wrangler that gets the last space because their tires can help them park anywhere).

18" Steelies. That gives you the most rubber and a hard rim if you actually hit it.

And the Glamor version of the Evo Corse. I like 'em. I could probably swap them with Steelies and be just as happy, though.

Yes, I put it in extended height mode for the pic. It does have 1 1/2" Johnson Rods, though.

Sorry for the delay. Things got a bit hectic at work.
Fyi, still deciding if I should take off the RAI or leave it and look like a fool to those who know. 😂

Still waiting for my Morimoto light bar. The latest estimate is late July. I also don’t have the tent up there right now, but hope to get out for a weekend soon.
