Default What is the best side step for off-roading?

LR doesn't offer rock rails from the factory.

There are a couple of fixed steps with some tubular metal that provides some protection (but I don't believe will hold the vehicle's weight). Then there is a retractable step that hides away, but again does not hold the vehicle's weight. Are any of these easy to remove in order to switch to rock rails on the trail?

Are there any more durable side steps for the Defender 110 in the aftermarket that are recommended?

Bonus: Can you recommend any rock rails for the Defender 110?

I vote Tuffant. https://newdefendermods.com/products...yP1847jYohHSnT

They are rock sliders but also super good as side steps. Better than the factory ones, I’d say.

Here’s me yesterday - changing a tire. Can lift under the rock slider anywhere.
