Had a Build date of August 14 on V8 Carpathian Defender, delivery October 8. The status switched to PENDING. my sale rep said she’s trying to figure out what’s next, but I’m interpreting this as no one has any idea. Anyone experience this on Defender build, or have insight into what this means?

 

Same boat. No info on what's next and when we can expect an answer. Incredibly frustrating. My order was placed in March.

It's really pathetic. What pisses me off is that they keep advertising on Instagram. How about you fulfill your existing orders before soliciting more. What a debacle. I'm also on the list for the new RR, supposed to be released in Sept, with deliveries next spring. Maybe we'll see that in 2024!

 

I ordered April 1. I also ordered a day 4 bronco reservation, Ford was worse basically saying no Bronco this year, and no idea if you get one next year.

race is on…. My money is LR this year, maybe too optimistic.

 

I have both on order as well. ​​​​​After driving a soft top Bronco with the pre-wire kit, I'm switching that order to get it faster.

They just sent this yesterday. It's getting to be like one of those subscription box services with all their free junk.

Random question but for the build status did your sales person just let you know or do you have the ability to track it somehow?

I asked my sales rep after the build date passed, what’s next. I was hoping to get a vin number or way to track it. That’s when she told me status changed. She said once Defender is put on a boat, then you receive a way to track the shipment.

 

It means see you in 2023 (if you are lucky)

 

I need a vehicle by next summer. What SUV is there to buy then? No Confidence in Defender. Bronco is worse. BMW is selling here locally “you may get an X5 in as little as 5 weeks” but that rear wheel drive isn’t smooth.my LR sales rep bought Jaguar, said SHE doesn’t know when it will be ready, “pending” also. Mercedes? Ford explorers?
