Default Wheel Arch Protection out of the lot on trims other than S?

It looks like the only two ways to get VPLEP0380 are either to get it as a part of the Explorer Pack on S trim, or just get it separately. All right, I get it. But WHY??? Why doesn't the Explorer Pack for X-Dynamic SE and X doesn't include the Wheel Arch Protection?

The only suspicion I have is that it is somehow related to something "black" on the vehicle, but I can't fathom what it could be.

Any idea?

many Defender packs and options are rip off, cheaper to source separately.

Black is (was) not 'black' as it were. I recall during ordering in Feb'22 that the extended wheel arch was effectively FLAT black while the 110x has GLOSS black trim bits. Perhaps that's the reason for the change? There are aftermarket folks that offer gloss or flat finishes. IF memory serves the wheel arch extensions are effectively stick on trim but I can't recall100%.

The X-Dynamic comes with Narvik Black lower body accents instead of the satin black plastic on the standard trims. You'd have to get the gloss Narvik Black wheel arches so they match the rest of the trim. Talk to your parts specialist at your dealer.

I suspect my build will look like Frankenstein, with the front undershield being light, wheels and wheel arch protections being flat, and the rest being what they want them to make.

Oh well.

I'll just cover it with mud and dust.

PS: Lost the message link, just have the picture link, feel free to take ownership if this one is yours

Are you looking for a smooth gloss finish, or a textured gloss?

I have an aftermarket set with a textured gloss finish that I need to get out of my garage. I thought it was the matte finish and waited too long to be able to return.

I would love to find a decent aftermarket source for these that has the NA-spec cutouts for the markers. The best price I could find is from Land Leaping (OEM parts house) for ~900 shipped in the US. I checked my local dealer who were at $1150 plus tax (wtf).

Check NDP Automotive https://ndpautomotive.com/collection...list=grid-view.

Great quality, service, and price. The ones I have for sale have the fill NA marker setup (see my post in marketplace).
