I recently committed to a 2025 Defender 90 as a CPO vehicle at my local dealer. I wrestled with the purchase because of the 20" wheels, 18" steel wheels being my preference. I finally decided to buy the car and live with the 20's. I can always change my mind later I guess and go down the caliper-grind-or-swap rabbit hole.
In the meantime, I was thinking I'd pick up a set of the 20" white lookalikes for the new Defender. They are Land Rover style 9013 (picture below from Land Rover's configurator). I've seen one of these around town with these wheels, and they didn't have the black center caps. The factory configurator seems to confirm this.
Would anyone know if this wheel still comes with the black plastic center caps, or if a set of old ones would fit?
It's a good question! I think they did, because I remember the first time I saw them I was fooled into thinking they were the steel wheels at first glance.
I was hoping for a quick and easy answer from a forum member who has these wheels, but I'll be at the dealer tomorrow (taking delivery!) and will ask my sales guy.
I found this picture over on Defender2.net (credit for pic goes to bynxy at defender2.net). These are the 20" lookalikes. I bet it's the same plastic hubcap, which would be good news for me.
And also this short little article by my favorite C&D writer, Ezra Dyer (formerly of Automobile Magazine). Article here.
Caps can be easily bought/ordered.
Nuts is a different thing, because the nuts on the steelies have a collar on 4 and the fifth is the secure/locking nut.
So go figure out the nuts for the first series 9013. ..
I absolutely HATE the new center caps for the 2026MY across all LAND ROVER models. This house of brands nonsense must come to an end. If I got a new LR, the absolute first thing I'd do is replace the center caps with the old ones.
Agreed! They just look unfinished or something, like somebody stole your center caps or something.
I'm wondering if anyone on the forum has the white 20" alloy lookalikes made by Forza? I guess that would make them the lookalike lookalikes.
I've searched the forum and found a few Forza owners, and they all seem to like their wheels. Seems like the most popular Forza pattern is the OCTA lookalike. Anybody have the white 20's?
