Default Whoops

Using my 110 as a quasi work-truck to move boulders. How it started:

How it started

How it ended:

Did not factor that I could only pull the rocks in one direction. Got sanwiched between two boulders and a soft dirt pile. Got stuck with one wheel up on the soft dirt, tried to power out and kissed the rim with the other rock. Whoops!

Man that sucks! How do u like those tires? I am thinking about the adventure tire to replace the Pirelli scorpions that came with mine.

Sorry about your wheel. I did get a chuckle out of you dragging boulders across the yard with the Defender. Good ingenuity, I'm not sure I'd have thought of that !

My wife scraped her rim and tore the sidewall of her front wheel on some rocks last month. Remembering something about the extended warranty we got, I checked. 2 year 100% tire damage and rim damage, no deductible. So dropped the now useless wheel off at the dealer and violá a week later what appeared to be a new alloy rim and new tire, free! It was a re-finish on the rim, but frankly you cannot tell.

$hit happens. I pulled a tree out of the front yard with my defender, the shackle fitting for the receiver and a recovery strap. No drama there, thankfully. I did it once before years ago with the Series III diesel. Oh it pulled the tree out of the ground... and the water main. The old Series where just tractors with nice bodies.

I like the tires... they haven't let me down (until I got stuck in my own backyard while trying to pull a boulder over a dirt pile on 3 wheels )

I don't remember if I got any wheel/tire warranties but now I'm going to check!
