The signal strength meter for the Defender - why does it show a “r” like it’s roaming?

 

I’ve been trying to make it through my manual
cover to cover but two small kids makes the available free time almost non existent. It’s sitting across the living room from me right now. About a sixth of the way gone through. And I don’t know yet. I have a guy coming from the dealership to our house tomorrow. Part of their “encore delivery service” where they help familiarize us with the features and I have a litany of questions to dump on him and this is one of them. So if he knows I’ll let you know.

 

Ours constantly showed the 'R' for roaming - but after the latest software update, it went away. I think it might have just been a Pivi Pro bug.

 

Yeah I haven’t seen it since the last update and the guy who did our encore familiarization didn’t know about it and the manual doesnt mention an r specifically but it would make sense that it would be for roaming and that the system was just glitchy
