Default Wi-Fi Hotspot- Anyone get it to work?

I purchased the Wi-Fi Enabled with Data Plan (US). If I understood this option correctly there's supposed to be a vehicle hotspot that allows you to connect your wireless devices to use the vehicle's data plan and exterior antenna. It has never worked and the hotspot connection option has appeared only on a few occasions when the inControl software was acting up.

Has anyone been able to access the vehicle hotspot option?

Looking forward to hearing how this pans out for you, the wifi hotspot is one of the options I need and expect to be working.

I brought my 2022 P300 to the dealership here in Canada to troubleshoot/fix this issue. After 2 days, including a call to the engineering team at Land Rover, I was simply told that my vehicle does not come with nor does it support this WIFI Hotspot feature. They mentioned it only comes in higher trims and it's a hardware limitation of my build/spec. Very odd given I have all the rest of the SIM + data plan working over the wireless carrier, just not the Hotspot feature. I'm not convinced this is the real answer and they simply wanted to close this file and get this out of the shop.

Would love to hear if anyone else had better luck getting this feature working.

Yes, mine works. I posted about it stopping working at the 'expiration' of the factory included data plan (12 or 18 mos or whatever). But it works and it works great. I work in my car lots and my MacBook uses it for wifi.

Is there any benefit to having this over just using mobile hotspot from your cellphone?

giant antenna on top of the car for increased signal strength My kids use it for their iPads in the back... And my wife uses it in her Porshce when she's on the road for work... Hotspotting a phone is a PITA--especially when on a call.. Basically, convenience > all

Plus it's on a different network than my iPhone (Verizon) so I have a bit of a better shot at signal in dodgy areas.
