Also the dimensions for the 10S and 12S are similar, I see some use the 10 and some use the 12. Any disadvantage of the 12? Not much different in price.
I bought the 10S winch from a different source without the LandRover specific harness. The only thing I believe the harness might do is power cycle the winch when starting the vehicle? I do normally need to power cycle the winch before using (not every use, but before a weekend of anticipated use) The install was probably easier without the LR harness. There is no access to the power switch on the winch, so mine is always "on". Power cycling the wince is easy enough as it connects near the positive terminal under the hood.

Thank you for the info. Found the light bar looks nice.

Hi @ORDPA can you describe how you got the fog yellow lights and how they are wired ? Are they on their own or do they shine together with the OEM fog lights.

I studied the wiring diagrams and winch wiring for a good 60 days last year and I don't think the LR winch harness ever power cycles the winch - I think all it does is prevent the winch from operating during an engine start command (whether user start or auto start/stop). This is because the start by either the 48v generator or the actual starter plus a winch pull might be too much. And this is why people who have bought the Land Rover branded Warn winch with the according LR harness end up needing to power cycle it (Simon did a video about it last month, and they just introduced a mesh patch panel so you can cut a hole in the LR bullbar/winch coverings and access the on/off switch not he back of the Zeon 12s).

In other words, it should power cycle the winch, but it doesn't do this. I don't think they considered the idea that bluetooth or wifi doesn't always work. This is why I didn't buy the LR winch and just put in a Warn and made my own (better and less complex harness) w/ a control box relocation to underhood.

If I'm wrong about this, pls correct me.

Geez! So, since you can buy the Vision X XPL 23 with wiring for $450, they are asking roughly $5-600 for two stainless brackets?

Is it something that can be fabricated easily? How much mods do you need to the LED and grill?

Lordy, joys of JLR ownership...

How are the S2 Pros mounted?

S2 Pros are mounted to the inside of the bumper cover. Mods for the led light are not overly complicated but you are cutting out the grill cover and the attachment points inside the grill itself.

Wiring for the led is to the high beam trigger on the right headlight and through an SPOD controller. S2s are wired to the SPOD and switched only through the SPOD. SPOD is mounted in the space to the left of the steering wheel

Where did you order the winch and trey kit from? Did you get the explorer 2 winch?

Thank you
Does adding an aftermarket winch not affect the warranty?
