Check it out, the statistics. JLR is on top of worst windshields - of any car.
Their glass do not follow the standards.
Prove me wrong please.
Before trying to prove you wrong or right, how about references for your claims that (1) JLR has the worst windshields and (2) their glass doesn't follow some (unspecified) standard?

(1) IIS has stats and data collected all over the world - if you are curious , you can get references from them or reports
(2) "unspecified" standard is quoted above, in the posts, but here it is again: SAE J673-201506
They don't meet the standard based on incident stats.
Anyways, JLR has other good stuff, that no one beats them, but windshields ain't one of their achievements.

Same. But I live in Colorado. No one I know doesn't have a chip or crack, roads are awful here!

My glass guy told me ShatterX and similar products are bull****, but he also makes his living repairing glass, so...

Still wondering why can't we just use PPF on the windshield. My current vehicle has PPF on the body and has protected it from various rocks on the freeway. Here's a company that does installs specifically for the windshield: https://www.getexoshield.com/

Looking at the website I only see stellar stories.

I feel like my '22 Defender SE has a windshield protectant on it right now. I can see it from the inside and there is a slight tint to it.

Is this normal?

No - I was curious if you could cite any actual references - not the standard internet response; "do your own research". Apparently not.

Now you are just making random unsupported assertions. The windshields may or may not be substandard, but assertions and anecdotes are not data. Where's the analysis that you are basing this on?

I have to quote you here - do your own research.
IIS data is not free. I paid for it.
The SAE standard is there....just read it.
You still haven't proven me wrong
Anyways, it is my opinion / research, and I stand by it.
