I have Clearplex on my windshield.

Invisible Windshield Protection Films and Screen Protectors - ClearPlex Asia Pacific

I've used Stek DYNOflex but it tends to fail after a year in direct sun - if you garage park you can make the film last longer.

Is it truly invisible or do you notice a little bit of distortion etc when driving? Also, how has it held up so far and would you recommend it?

It's completely invisible - no distortion. It's thicker than PPF so it can take a lot of abuse.

I had Stek DYNOflex on my previous cars without any - only issue is if you don't garage park, the film will fail (becomes hazy like driving through foggy weather) from sitting outside in the sun after a year.

I have Clearplex on my daily for about a year and it's way better than DYNOflex since it hasn't become hazy.

Either film installed will cost between $500-600 installed.

I’ve had two wranglers and both had a cracked windshield. Also had the defender happen last year. It’s the angle of how they are built is what the dealership says…

Just had my heated windshield replaced on Weds...maybe I got lucky but local dealer had one in stock. Glass company had told me 1-2 weeks before they found it...so seems like backorder not an issue. I'm in New England.

Hooray for 0 deductible glass coverage!

Exactly! I made sure my comprehensive coverage included full glass & 0 deductaable.

South Carolina forced full w/0 deductaable and apparently so does NC?

It is around $1900. When driving BMW. Benz, Rover etc then always a good idea to get the windshield replacement insurance. My deductible is $50. Coverage is like $140 per year.

Just processed my replacement online through safelite and they said they would be here Tuesday to replace.
