Wipers juddering
l've got a problem with wipers juddering across the screen on my Defender
The vehicle has only done 6,000 miles. ls there any way to fix this? Land Rover want around $100 for a pair of wiper blades.
l've tried two pairs of aftermarket blades both of German manufacturer and they didn't clear the screen properly.
So l took the rubber parts out and fitted them to the Land Rover blades.
They clear the screen perfectly but judder on the slow/intermittent speeds.
Which was the problem in the first place. Surely l don't need new wipers after only six months.

This happens when wiper blades contact the windscreen at the wrong angle (not 90°). It's odd that this would be happening on a new vehicle, but it's a very easy fix. Look at the way the blades are contacting the windscreen and give the wiper arm a twist to get them back to 90°. Here's an example:

I've had this a little on a few vehicles and found conditioning the blade rubber with products like Gummi Pflege or Sonax which usually used on door seals helps a lot in this regard, but you also need to be absolutely sure that your glass is clean as well. Your judder is probably a combination of the two. So clean the glass and soften the blades with a rubber conditioner .
My 2023.5 D90 and the 2022 I had previously did the exact same thing. It has NOTHING to do with cleaning the window. It is absolutely the blade contact angle and LR has it ALL WRONG!!! Has anyone had their LR dealer fix this with a positive outcome?
How did you accurately check to contact angle of the blade to the glass?
