Wireless charger not working iPhone 13
Hi all,
I have a 2021 HSE X-Dynamic model. Is anyone else having issues with their wireless charger not charging their iPhone? I have a iPhone 13 and my wife has the 12. Both do not work on my wireless pad. When you initially put it on the pad it flashes the charge symbol on the iPhone and recognizes a connection, however, it then soon disappears. The phone then keeps waking itself up and the screen turns on and off as if it keeps trying to connect....this actually ends up draining the battery even more.
I was hoping the new OS 3.0 upgrade that was just installed would fix this but no. Its actually the reason I'm now looking into this because 3.0 now allows for CarPlay wireless so it would be nice to have my phone charging while playing music and no longer deal with a cord.
Thanks in advance to anyone that responds!
Best,
Chris

Unfortunately, there's a Retailer bulletin about the issue and you'll need to contact your local Dealer to get it repaired. Well, technically I know it applies to my '22 and likely applies to your '21. I can't see '21 bulletins but there was in the listing for '22's. Call ahead and they should tell you if there is one. Looking at the Service recommendations I think they are going to have to use their systems to reflash something. Sorry! Good luck with your Dealer.

There are different types of bulletins/recalls/etc. Some of them mean that JLR must contact you to fix it and can't sell vehicles unless they are fixed. Others are indicators that if you report a problem, it is known and they cover it under warranty and know how to fix it with a known service task. Yours is the later. That SSM### is something that will zero in your Service Writer when you call and talk to them.
For the most serious (recalls) go to NHTSA and enter your VIN (Link)
For those that Land Rover is actively managing a little more proactively you can enter your VIN on their page on the lower right (Link)
For those that they are just responding to when you contact them (likely the above SSM###), you'll need to make an appointment and call in.
Regardless of which "level", your Dealer should be the one taking care of it for you and you likely won't be able to handle this on your own. Worse, if you are out of warranty, your local Land Rover 3rd party service provider likely won't either.
Again, good luck.

Woops. You probably were just curious what they were going to do and were too polite to ask. If so, they have to flash update the controller for the wireless charger. They have to connect their diagnostic equipment, enter their proprietary software thru a direct connection and then flash an update to "fix a software bug". There's really no wrenches or parts to be replaced if it's the same bulletin I'm looking at. Sometimes they have to replace fuses, burnt out parts, etc. but I think this is just a software update for you.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and mine doesn’t consistently charge on the charging mat because of the camera bump. Having it in a case also does not help. Removing the case does not improve things. The charging mat simply isn’t large enough for the coil in the phone to fit properly and make enough contact. Mine will intermittently charge but it is not consistent.
