Default Yellow Snowflake

Ok first winter with 2024 110 Defender. Any way to turn off the cold temp warning , yellow snowflake, during this season? GAP Tool?

Its getting annoying. With a 6:30 am / 6:30 pm commute it's constantly on. What do owners in truly cold climates do? I don't want to think of yellow snow for the next 4 months.....

Nope, you can't get rid of it. This is something that JLR has done for years, but It never used to be yellow until the D7 platform vehicles came out.

I actually find it helpful...sometimes. Like when traveling to a colder area (VT/ME) and it's raining and suddenly the glowing snowflake helps you notice that the outside temp is actually 26 degrees. Then you see that the road looks wet, but there is no mist coming off the car tires in front of you, which leads you to determine you are going far too fast on black ice.

I'm reading this, thinking what are they talking about "yellow snowflake"? I had to go look, shows how much I pay attention to it, and it's almost always on here in Eastern Canada, though I just bought it less than month ago. Lol!

Snow light?!? Never seen it in central Texas... Now I'm seriously hoping to view it!

If the temperature is below 37° you will have an amber snowflake next to the external temperature. This is an indicator that ice is possible.

40°F maybe? Or "it stays on until". Mine comes on all the time since we live behind Mount Mitchell. It's 11 here and 9 there this morning.

Wind chill is -5°F. I lived in Charleston 60+ years - that's cold!

Next time my Taiwanese wife is lamenting the Ford administration's Arctic nature preserve maple-syrup drilling policies, I'll have a fresh new pejorative rebuttal to hurl her way.

Thank you OP.
