I wish I had seen this thread much earlier.
I take part in a couple local Jeep events, which are a great time. I've been going to "Trailfest" for the last couple of years. It's put on by the London Area Jeep Owners Club, and they're a great bunch of people. It has a wide variety of trails ranging in difficulty from complete beginner to very experienced. It's run on private land, and takes place on the August Long Weekend every summer. I highly reccomend it! Most of them are actually very interested in the couple Land Rovers that show up every year. They also run an event called "Rocktoberfest" and it's a blast as well!
Join the facebook group "I <3 Wheeling" for some local information. There's a trip headed to Ardbeg near Parry Sound in Ontario, Canada on October 14-17. Drive up is day one, wheel two days and return on the 4th. Ardbeg is a fantastic trail that will take about 2 full days to travel in a single direction. I've done 1/2 of it previously - gorgeous, fun, and some nice technical driving mixed in. Will have a variety of other vehicles in the mix from Canada - Jeep, Iltis, Tahoe, etc. A trip not to be missed!
See you around,
John
