First truck took a different line more to the right. Got stalled in the deep middle section when water got into the intake. We discussed another line. The whitewater to the left is indicating more shallow depth. One concern is how big the boulders are. This is the second truck attempting the new line:

My turn:

Gorgeous, but remote campsite. Hard to access due to current boggy conditions:

Beautiful meadows, but deadly. Took us three hours to winch ourselves out of this muddy swamp:

Last stretch of the swamp:

Poison Mountain - very rocky 45-degree climb (do not stop or you may lose traction), 7500-feet:

Water, sand, mud, mosquitoes, comaraderie and just enough fuel.... and let us not forget snow at Jesmond Fire Lookout Tower on Day 2!

Hey Andrew that looks like a great trip, sorry I missed it. But I am ready for the next one. Did you get any water inside ?

No water inside. This is the one time when I think having 18" wheels is helpful.

However, there is one part of the swamp where I sank so deep and got stuck tilted on one side in the mud. I could hardly open my driver door. The Disco had to be winched out. The underside of the truck is caked with an inch to two inches of dried mud. Time to whip out the pressure washer for a thorough clean this weekend.

@The Deputy Our club president Andy Deene gets a lot of the credit for the planning, and then of course the club members who keep showing up. But they are generally great trips
