colorado trails
I live in Colorado about a half hour north of Denver and have been dying to take my disco 2 out for a " hike " but all of the trails that I've been looking out got wiped out by the flood we had last year. Websites such as trail damage list the trails but don't say if their open or not and I don't want to drive up there and have them be " closed for rehab "
with that being said does anyone know of any trails preferably in the Loveland boulder golden areas don't want to go way into the mountains or way south.
also keep in mind I want a easy - moderate trail as I'm have a stock rover.

Ya gotta pick up a copy of 4WD Adventures - Colorado. When I lived in Colorado this was my bible. We hit about 2/3rds of the trails in the book. Every trail was exactly as described in the book. Here is the Amazon info:

Hook up with the all-makes frontrange4x4.com group plus check out traildamage.com for lots of good trail info. Get the Benchmark Colorado Road and Recreation Atlas. DeLorme has a Colorado Atlas and Gazetteer as well. Check out and buy the numerous and excellent National Geographic Trails Illustrated Maps which cover most of Colorado and are excellent maps to carry along and study both for hiking and four wheeling. The Solihull Society (LR Club HQ'ed in Denver) has some trail runs and a website.
