To end the year the club did a trip up the West Harrison FSR to a place called Fossil Beach, the day was supposed to have us on pavement by 16:30, I hit pavement at 20:30.
The route down to fossil beach has about 100 Yds of this, at this point we had 4 trucks down with no issues, including my Disco the lowest of the bunch :
Everyone got down in one piece, with not problems we had a nice lunch, then headed back up - all but 4 trucks need to winched up that cut, I went up last in the dark. It was a tad exciting, someone used a old lift strap as part of the extensions to get the distance, one of the triangle bits let got and hit my windshield no significant damage, other than to my heart. Honest mistake it was late and they had been at this to 3 hour 14 trucks to get up that 100 meters 1 at a time with a slow but powerful winch.
Got to the top and found this "dent", hopefully it will be easy to pop out :
And to add insult to injury 100 meters down the road went into a cross ditch, did not see a rock jutting out in the dark and this happened :
But I had a lot of fun nonetheless, although I think I finished off my muffler and that type of trail will be a pass for me in the future - I just do not have the clearance for it currently
