Went north to visit the fall colors. We were heading for Copper Harbor, but rain cancelled the rest of the trip. Made it to Marquette and surrounding area before booking for the lower peninsula. 1100 miles round trip.
Yeah, was 'waiting for my ship to come in'...but as usual...it never showed...lol.
Hey.. there's always the mega millions tonight 1.6 billion.. got ur ticket?
Nice photos and looks like it was a good trip, Brian. Jim and I got out over the weekend and went glamping down by Frankfort. Lucky for us we didn't run into any snow but I guess they got it in areas of TC. It was quite windy - enough to knock down some lines (five feet in front of us) on US-31 and see white caps on Crystal Lake. Got off road a bit - freaked ourselves out a little delving into 'da deep voods'. This was taken within the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. I'm still puzzled...
Yes, some sort of voodoo going on there...very strange.
We ran into some green areas in the UP, especially close to the big lake. But, nothing where it was green canopy overhead...with turned leaves on the ground. We got off the hammer road at ******* and went east to check out colors, somewhat disappointing...some yellows and such...but it looked as though they'd suffered a drought.
Did you drive Bertha on your glamping trip (whatever that is?)?
