There are several trails off the beaten path near pigeon forge but you need a local to show you where they are... I'm still learning as the trails are sometimes cut off for development. There is an off road "park" in cherokee as well called Upper Tellico Off Road Vehicle Area "Located in Cherokee County North Carolina near the town of Murphy, the Upper Tellico Off-Road Vehicle Area is recognized as one of the best off-road trails." Quoted from the web page http://www.mountaintravelguide.com/4...cle%20Area.htm. I don't know if this is the best page but maybe it will get you started. I went with some friends in a new fj last winter but most of the cool trails were closed until april. They should be open now and there is a small fee for using the trails... 5-10 bucks I think though I didn't pay because of all the trail closings. Check around and see what they have open because from what I hear they have a lot of fun trails from easy to difficult.
