Just short day making sure the Disco is good to go for a couple of days off road. The Disco ran beautifully other than a temps being a bit high on 2 long slow uphill stretches 206-208 one and 210-212 on the other about 83-85 deg F.
Low range, CDL and traction control worked beautifully she climbed up and over stuff with minium gas pedal usage
Looking east across Harrison lake The road down to Hale Creek - the good part Hale Creek shelter maintained by the 4 Wheel Drive Assoc of BC It is actually a huge area lots of room to camp History of the area Looking south. Forest fire smoke in the distance, mostly from Washington state Looking north The road out, it get much worse for about 800 m Steeper with lots of little ledges to climb
@whowa004 right there with you I have missed 2 club trips and I have not really not been anywhere since June. Family and work around the house, the wife figured I needed a day away.

I'm trying to bust my *** and get my house work to an acceptable point or at least feel like I'm ahead. Snow is flying in the mountains already down here so not sure if I'll get a dedicated wheeling trip in or not but the discos will get used for either a quick fishing or grouse hunting day trip before the weather fully turns! About to lift and do some paint work on the green disco I picked up (wife's new ride so trying to get it kitted out to her liking).
Last time I was there in my jeep I had to get winched going back up, how's the Rover handle it?
You don't look very lifted either...did you smack a bunch of boulders?
@604x4BC I went the easy way down past Fossil Creek. So good road other than cross ditches and the one stretch that seems to be all "holed up" likely from runoff away too much skinny pedal where you do not need it. I have not been down the narrow trail in years, it was pretty iffy then.
Of course the Roverlanders will be there this weekend having lunch there Sunday, and our leader likes "shortcuts" so I may get a chance to see what it is like now.
