A few weeks ago I attended the Land Rover owner's day at the Biltmore in Asheville, NC. The day started with breakfast and a some high level instructions. Anyone who has done some off-roading knows much of the common sense instructions they gave. I consider myself somewhat experienced and had a great time. They have 3,000 acres as part of the LR school. The weather in Asheville had been quite dry so the trails were not too challenging. Our group had two LR4s, LR3, RRS, and a D90. It was interesting to see how easy the modern LRs negotiated the obstacles while the D90 struggled.
They do it four times a year. Typically its the weekend after a holiday weekend. The dates for 2016 are posted on the Land Rover Experience Biltmore website. We had a diverse set of skill levels in the group and all stock vehicles.
They also serve lunch and you have full access to the Biltmore grounds after that. If you look at the fees to get on the Biltmore grounds, it's really worth it.
