Took the family off roading at Hidden Falls Adventure Park near Marble Falls, TX where the annual Hill Country Rover Rally is held. Kids had a great time (wife was terrified I was going to roll over for some reason lol....) so here are some pics from the trip.
After off roading I went to spend some time with my good friend in Taylor, TX and we all took a trip down to San Antonio, TX to see the Riverwalk all lit up for Christmas. Damage report from the trip was once again the Steering Stabilizer due to still not having the RTE Relocation bracket yet... $37.00 Pro Comp SS had a 3 day lifespan until it got crushed during the night run at HF but at least that is cheap to replace. My oldest daughter convinced me to try a trail I have never messed with which was rated a 4 diamond. Unfortunately with all the ATV/UTV use it's probably more like a 6 diamond now lol. I made up up probably a 1/4 of the trail when it basically went straight up between very narrow trees with massive ruts. I didn't have a spotter (couldn't trust my oldest daughter or wife lol) so I turned around which was still a challenge in itself due to the loose rock, and slope. The park was pretty quiet for a weekend so I wasn't going to take any chances especially since I had my family with me. XD did great as usual, but I really really need the SS RTE Relocation bracket! If I don't hear anything back I'll just buy the TF unit and call it a day.
Kids absolutely loved it. Wife was fine once she got over the fear I was gonna kill us all at every turn lol. Had to keep telling her I've been driving off road since I was a teenager!
HF is a great place to off road, and already looking forward to 2022 SCARR & 2022 HCRR Events!
