It ended up being a great day, it was all jeeps though...however, they have more respect for our old rovers after seeing my disco work its magic today.

Hi Fella's, Count me in for your next trip. I live in Madison, Wisconsin, and not afraid to travel a few hours for a good off-road experience. PM if you want to swap details. My first off-road adventure was about 3 or 4 years ago, with some Chicago Land Rover Club guys, up in the Pipeline area of Nicolet National Forest, about 3-4 hrs NE of Madison. I had an FFRR at the time. I now have an LR3, with built in G4 Winch. My next scheduled trip will be here - Real Performance Machines - Apple Valley Farms Offroad Park on 27 Feb 2016. I've been there twice in winter and 3 times in summer, so I know what to expect. Would be great if a few more Land Rovers could make it. Cheers, Simon.

This was you, right Simon?
That Jaylordalien guy has a bunch of vids from that trip up on YouTube.
That was a fun time. Too bad most of that is all closed now.
I was the first truck in this vid, also from the same trip.

Yep, that was me, getting muddy, breaking and scratching things, and all with a huge smile on my face! I will never forget that trip My first off-road trip - Great time, great company. Thanks everybody for making me feel welcome! Definitely a bummer that most of the Pipeline is now closed. I haven't been up there for about 2 years. Might be worth a trip to explore some of the many other forest trails though - I know there's tons of them.
