one jate or two? if i come is it dumb to assume someone else would have a tow strap i could borrow? The Event is the same weekend as my wifes 10 YR HS reunion. But it sounds like she might let me off the hook, so it'll be just me and the dog. Pretty pumped.

I have 3 or 4 straps in the truck so thats no problem but youll need at least 1 place in the front and one in the rear to hook to. Reciever clevis's arent real expensive for the rear and plenty strong enough, thats all I had for years. If you get 1 jate ring for the front thatll be good enough.

Check. i'll see what i can borrow from my buddy with an xterra and buy what i can't. There's some other stuff i'd like to do too, but idk how much of an allowance she'll give me for this trip. I was thinking longer brakelines and some other stuff to help my articulation, but maybe i'll just wait until i get it out there and THEN see what i really feel like i need. I DEF need to drill out my center console and PB blast the CDL linkage. It's REALLY stiff from having not driven it while it was out of inspection. But that wont take but more than a few hours.

i have a reciever hitch, you can borrow it for the day if you need to. when you put your console back together use sheet metal screws in case you need to take it apart on the trail, makes life easier.

1) Ed, that would be great, borrowing the receiver hitch would def save me some quid, i'd really appreciate that. 2) great tip on the center console boot because i def would have pop riveted that back together. thanks!

do you have a CB radio? that is the best investment. then you can call to people in the front of your group if you get stuck, so they don't keep on wheeling.

Nice rocky track you have there! Here in Costa Rica we have most of all muddy tracks.. Hope I can go there one day to try those!
