Southern Utah exploring and wheeling
My wife and myself plus our 97 D1 explored for 3 days along back roads and 4x4 trails in southern Utah on June 14-16 plus did some hiking. Muddy River, Capitol Reef NP, Pleasant Creek, Tantalus Flats, Boulder Mountain, the vast Grand Staircase/Escalante NM, Egypt, Carcass Wash, Devil's Garden, Sooner Rocks, The "Hole" at the end of the Hole-in-the-Rock Road, Lower Bown Reservoir, Straight Cliffs, Navajo Mountain, Escalante River, Calf Creek, Dancehall Rock, Golden Throne, Crystal Geyser, Green River, San Refael Reef: Some of the places we visited or observed. Here's a few pictures.
Roverrocks, we were there only about a week after you! We came up from the Grand Canyon North Rim into Kanab, up Johnson Canyon and over a nice twisty dirt road into Kodachrome Basin. Then into Escalante, Boulder (Hell's Backbone Grille!), Capital Reef, Ritchfield, Cedar Breaks, and back to Kanab. It was great being away from the traffic!
