Wife got the new D2 out on its first voyage and just happened it was in Moab! The take off black wheels (from my white D2 before I ran steelies) look way better than anticipated and driver doors and roof will be painted this winter at some point. It also ended up bigger (height wise) than my white one with just used/take off parts lol

Looks like we are driving back east for the holidays and will be staying at Smith Mountain Lake for a week or so before heading up to the Shenandoah valley to see other family...we will be driving one of the discos, probably the green one. Would love to hear any forest roads or trail suggestions down near Smith mountain if anyone knows any as the dogs are going to need more space to run than the small yard of the rental..

Some video of the last trip out with Roverlanders' 14 trucks a very good time. We did notice the hood bayonet on the 1960 pickup is basically the same as the one on my 04 Disco

@Pete C the group is outstanding.we are struggling a bit with trips, damage potential mostly. As you saw some the routes can be a bit challenging. And body work on an LR3 or Lr4 would be very expensive. The problem is we all like a challenge,it is more about pacing and making sure we can guide each other I think.

The fellow who did the video really does an outstanding job.

Thank you both for taking all the extra time and effort to climb all over and THEN climb all over physically to get these adventure photos. I appreciate you!

Was out for a few hours making sure the new bumper would stay put, it is fine the rear license plate however attempted to escape it 's plan was foiled

I think this the stretch that toasted my rear bumper - no I did not drive the stretch today

I’m going to pick up one of those RRS one day. I think they nailed it with that body style.

Nice wheels too- I bought a set over the summer. Haven’t used them yet.
