Got out real quick Sunday night to try and run up Kingston Peak but the seasonal gate maybe a mile in is still closed so took the dogs and hiked the trail for 2 miles or so and it's in great shape (bumpy as always) but no mud or snow. The +3" terrafirma shocks and little extra lift really make a huge difference. I used to lift a tire or two in one uphill whoop section and this time through it no tire left the ground, unfortunately this was a solo trip so no fun pictures of it all crossed up

Got out on Friday and ran 3 trails to make a long day that saw a little bit of everything including a moose or two (could have been same moose twice). Ran T33 plane crash solo and then had a buddy in his Classic meet up once he got off work to run Middle St. Vrain and Coney Flats.

Also was there an update so we can't upload photos into the text area and must attach them now?

Descending Red Cone mountain to Webster Pass in the Colorado high country. Had a P38, LR3, LR4, D1, and D90 along for the trip.

I heard that's a 9-10 pucker factor trail, any close calls or smooth sailing?

the downhill on Red Cone is definitely steep but lay off the brakes and you are golden. Not sure about Radical hill but I've heard there are some hero lines on the climb

It's a 9-10 mental pucker factor for the descent. As Will mentioned, you just have to know how to balance between too much speed and too little (where you can start dragging the tires and run the risk of getting sideways). Long ago (10+ years ago), that descent had an uneven surface (think moguls, alternating potholes, etc.) which caused some suspensions to flex to the point of a tire on each axle losing traction which generates free-wheeling motion (for open differential vehicles). That was what earned the Red Cone descent its reputation. However, at some point it either smoothed out on its own or was treated to trail maintenance (I'm thinking it was the latter and occurred 6-7 years ago; I run it every year, but can't recall exactly). I will say that it got worse from last year. There was only one small ledge, or drop, towards the top and the rest was smooth sailing (relatively speaking). However, this year there are a few moguls forming, but not so large to cause concerns.

Otherwise, there's only a few spots that are challenging.
