Last week I ran stages 1 and 2 of the Washington Backcountry Discovery route (WABDR - Washington Backcountry Discovery Route).

Great blog Chris, saw it over on NWOS, looks like you guys had a great time. I tried to convince my wife to run the stretch south of Chelan on our way out to Lake Wenatchee, but she wasn't having it...NEXT summer I'm going to make it happen.

Disco looks great too, perfect stance, great roof rack, and Willow Green!

Thanks, Rob! We had a blast.

My wife isn't hip on running the WABDR either.

I want to finish more of it next year as well!

Default WABDR Stages 3 and 4

It has been 4 years since running the first 2 stages of the WABDR, but my friend Don and I took my Disco on stages 3 and 4 this last week. It was a bit more challenging that the first sections, but the scenery made up for the rough conditions. Wow. Some of the views were amazing. And while it was rougher than the first sections, I only had to put it in low range for one obstacle, a washout repaired with a vertical climb up some boulders.
