Default Need help with Discovery 2 rear bumper, specifically the turn signals ...

I'm getting a free discovery 2 however it was backed into a pole and the rear bumper is cracked... I unplugged both lights in the rear bumper and just tore off that stupid plastic that covers the metal underneath.

Does anyone know if there are integrated turn signals with the lights on the body of the disco? I've been looking up rear bumpers and they are outrageously expensive, over $500 !! All I want is something to house the turn signals or if possible to buy new integrated lights that house them all together on the body.

Any help would be appreciated

03-04 have the brake and turn signal lights in the upper housings on the body. You'll have to rewire to use those housings, and you'll lose the reverse light, because on the 03-04 those are on the bumper.

Another option is to use a trailer wiring converter box and combine the turns and brakes into one light. something like this:
Curt Manufacturing 58240 Tail Light Converter 3 To 2 Wire : Amazon.com : Automotive Curt Manufacturing 58240 Tail Light Converter 3 To 2 Wire : Amazon.com : Automotive
might work.

I think disco mike rewired his so that his turn signals were in the reverse lights, using yellow bulbs, and then he added a work light that comes on when he backs up.

Hmmm... it sounds like your second suggestion would be easiest. So I could use that tail light converter box to make the brakes flash as a turn signal? Any idea how I would wire something like that up?

Unless using the 03/04 tail lights would be easier, I don't care about having reverse lights... I can wire up a switched tractor fog light to illuminate the heavens as a fog light (I did this on my Jeep Wrangler).

Sorry to sound so noobish but I'm not familiar at all with taillight wiring.
